Job Title: AV Field Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Field Commissioning Engineer to join our team at S&L Integrated. As a key member of our integration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality control and commissioning of assigned integration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and contract installers to deliver complete, fully functional integrated audio-visual systems that meet client specifications.
  • Commission racks in the shop, write and debug control system programs, and perform client training.
  • Analyze and resolve technical escalations, handle client requested changes, and ensure the latest code version is stored on the project server.
  • Define audio system controls, assist with field questions, and provide client training on AV systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of commercial audio/video/lighting installation experience with a thorough understanding of system integration techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting audio/video system setup and gain structure.
  • Programming experience with audio DSP units from multiple vendors.
  • Working knowledge of QSC, Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Extron, Polycom, and Cisco equipment.
  • Experience with Q-SYS Control 201, Crestron SMIPL & SIMPL+, Extron, HTML, JavaScript, and Lua.
  • Basic IP networking skills and excellent verbal, written, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team leader and direct the work of others.
  • CTS-I certification or desire to obtain within three years.
  • Ability to travel daily to job sites with approximately 40% overnight travel.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The person in this position is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach, and push with hands and arms. Frequent sitting, climbing, and balancing is also required. Work requires the ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders, and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment. Work requires the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and the ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
