Job Overview

Position Summary

This is a Casual Position

1) Responsible for the thorough cleaning of designated facilities in alignment with agency and contract specifications.

Ensure the upkeep of equipment and supplies.

Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including restrooms, offices, floors, and hallways, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and standard custodial practices, as well as operating both high and low-speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

Replenish soap dispensers, refill paper towel dispensers, and distribute toilet paper and other necessary supplies.

Maintain regular communication with the supervisor.

2) Represent the agency positively in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and the general public, supporting our vision of fostering sustainable communities through the active participation of diverse residents.

3) Support the organization's commitment to achieving triple bottom line results by integrating social, economic, and environmental objectives into our planning and actions.

Key Responsibilities

Communication:

Maintain consistent communication with the supervisor, providing updates on areas needing improvement.

Deliver exceptional customer service through polite and professional interactions with site hosts and colleagues.

Knowledge:

Oversee equipment and supplies.

Uphold a high standard of personal appearance.

Ensure floors and carpets are maintained by operating high and low-speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

Secure the building by locking the facility and setting the alarm as necessary.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including restrooms, offices, floors, and hallways, using appropriate cleaning agents and custodial practices.

Replenish soap dispensers, refill paper towel racks, and distribute toilet paper and other supplies as needed.

Recycle paper, aluminum cans, cardboard, and other recyclable materials at assigned sites when applicable.

Where applicable, maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, lawn care, debris removal, and snow removal.

Participate in team activities and special projects as required.
