Position Summary

This is a Casual Position

1) Responsible for the thorough cleaning of designated facilities according to organizational and/or contractual standards.

Maintain equipment and supplies effectively.

Ensure cleanliness in assigned areas such as restrooms, offices, floors, and hallways by utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and standard custodial techniques, including operating high and low-speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

Replenish soap dispensers, refill paper towel dispensers, and distribute toilet paper and other necessary supplies.

Maintain regular communication with supervisors.

2) Act as a representative of the organization in all interactions with community members and the public, supporting our vision of fostering sustainable communities through the active participation of diverse residents.

3) Contribute to the organization’s commitment to integrating social, economic, and environmental objectives into our planning and actions.

Key Responsibilities

Communication:

Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, keeping them informed of areas needing improvement.

Deliver exceptional customer service through courteous and professional interactions with site hosts and colleagues.

Knowledge:

Manage equipment and supplies efficiently.

Uphold a high standard of personal appearance.

Maintain floors and carpets by operating high and low-speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

Ensure building security by being able to secure/lock the facility and activate the alarm system.

Administrative Duties:

Ensure cleanliness in assigned areas such as restrooms, offices, floors, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and standard custodial practices.

Replenish soap dispensers, refill paper towel racks, and distribute toilet paper and other supplies as necessary.

Recycle paper, aluminum cans, cardboard, and other recyclable materials at designated sites, as applicable.

Where applicable, maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, lawn care, debris removal, and snow clearance.

Participate in team activities and special projects as required.

Skills Required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

Customer Service – Intermediate

Communication – Written and Verbal – Intermediate

Experience with power scrubbers, waxers, and buffers – Some Knowledge

Knowledge of custodial and cleaning practices – Some Knowledge

Qualifications

Experience:

Required:

Successful completion of a criminal background check that meets organizational standards.

Ability to work independently and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Ability to perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Preferred:

Experience operating power scrubbers, waxers, and buffers.

Experience in a custodial role.
