Overview:

The Mechanical Integrity Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing Energy Transfer's Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity initiative, focusing on processing, treatment, and facility piping systems. This position is set in a dynamic environment that presents numerous challenges and opportunities for professional growth, all while emphasizing safety, innovation, and a commitment to making a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

· The Mechanical Integrity Project Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the integrity of fixed pressure equipment across Energy Transfer, particularly at processing, treatment, and blending sites. Daily responsibilities will include the systematic evaluation and review of various piping systems, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and more within designated areas, employing API standards.

· Ensure that all maintenance, inspections, repairs, re-ratings, and modifications to pressure equipment comply with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.

· Conduct reviews and audits of pressure vessel fabrication facilities to confirm adherence to approved fabrication standards, technical drawings, and quality control guidelines.

· Collaborate closely with the corrosion and materials team, pressure equipment engineers, and operations personnel to develop inspection schedules, identify corrosion risks, monitor equipment conditions, analyze inspection results, document condition histories, and provide recommendations to ensure the safe and reliable operation of pressure equipment.

· Support operations, maintenance, engineering, and project management teams in making informed decisions regarding pressure equipment integrity, aligning with best practices, industry codes, and local regulations.

· Serve as the primary contact for field supervision, operations, and maintenance on technical issues related to specific disciplines.

· Communicate inspection timelines, repair deadlines, and maintenance schedules, coordinating activities with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of inspections and repairs.

· Participate in periodic PSM audits, both internal and external.

· Engage in regulatory audits conducted by EPA, OSHA, and local authorities.

· Develop and review inspection plans in accordance with company standards and established engineering practices.

· Take into account various factors in repair recommendations, including runtime to failure, root cause analysis, and lifecycle costs.

· Utilize equipment integrity inspection and analysis tools, such as API-Risk Based Inspection, to determine necessary inspections and overall inspection strategies.

· Identify suitable inspection and NDE methods to mitigate equipment risks.

· Oversee and audit NDE and inspection activities within assigned areas.

· Review and validate NDE and inspection outcomes, ensuring the identification of anomalies and the elimination of erroneous data.

· Ensure that inspection records are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations, codes, and departmental requirements.

· Manage inspection data within the Shield corrosion monitoring program.

· Plan and oversee on-stream inspection projects.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant codes and requirements, knowing when to seek higher-level guidance.

· Conduct API inspections of pressure vessels, piping, and tanks as necessary, whether routine or emergency.

· Respond to unplanned incidents to analyze their causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

· Assist with the CFR and Facility Pipe program as required, including anomaly verification.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

· At least eight years of experience in API inspection related to plant process equipment.

· Current API and API certifications.

· Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Experience in developing field drafting Isometrics for piping systems.

· Ability to read, interpret, and modify Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).

· Familiarity with mid-stream processes, standards, specifications, and industry regulations pertaining to Process Safety Management.

· Experience in writing inspection procedures.

· Strong knowledge of relevant API, ASME, ANSI, and other applicable codes and specifications.

· ASNT Level II training and certification in ASNT UT, PT, MT.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Formal training and proficiency in the Shield corrosion monitoring program.

· Training in API-RBI methodologies and software.

· API RP certification.

· Current API certification.

· Formal training in API FFS.

· Completion of 60 hours towards an associate or bachelor's degree.

· Familiarity with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software, specifically Autodesk.

· Comprehensive knowledge of advanced NDE technologies, including guided wave testing, Phased Array ultrasonic testing, time of flight diffraction (TOFD), remote field eddy current testing (RFEC), and digital radiography.

· Documented hours towards ASNT Level II certifications in RT (film interpretation).

Work Environment:

The characteristics of the work environment are as follows:

  • Typical office working conditions.
  • Ability to remain stationary for 25% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces for extended periods, including regular climbing of equipment structures and scaffold ladders.
  • Must be able to drive for extended periods and distances exceeding 90 miles.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record for company vehicle use.
  • Anticipate a minimum of 30% travel to facilities within the assigned territory and beyond, including travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.
  • Participation in occasional unscheduled callouts and extended workdays/weekends may be required.
  • Position may be subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol regulations.
  • Incumbents may be required to learn duties associated with specific operational areas based on needs and demonstrated abilities.
  • Natural gas gathering and processing operations are continuous and may involve hazardous conditions, including escaping gas, adverse weather, extreme temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas lines, heavy lifting, and confined spaces.
