Polk Mechanical Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheetmetal Supervisor to lead our team of skilled tradespeople. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of sheetmetal systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Lead a team of skilled tradespeople in the installation of sheetmetal systems
- Provide guidance and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Project Management
- Plan and coordinate the installation of sheetmetal systems, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop and implement project schedules, resource allocation plans, and quality control measures
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet customer requirements and expectations
- Quality Control and Assurance
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Identify and address any quality or safety issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Communication and Customer Service
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and expectations are met
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to win new customers
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the sheetmetal industry
- 8 years of experience in sheetmetal HVAC ducting system installation
- Thorough knowledge of sheetmetal blueprints, specifications, and codes
- Thorough knowledge of other major craft blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of all sheetmetal systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise multiple employees and manage projects
- Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
