HVAC Foreman

Polk Mechanical Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheetmetal Supervisor to lead our team of skilled tradespeople. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of sheetmetal systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Leadership and Supervision
  • Lead a team of skilled tradespeople in the installation of sheetmetal systems
  • Provide guidance and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
• Project Management
  • Plan and coordinate the installation of sheetmetal systems, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement project schedules, resource allocation plans, and quality control measures
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet customer requirements and expectations
• Quality Control and Assurance
  • Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Identify and address any quality or safety issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Communication and Customer Service
  • Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs and expectations are met
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to win new customers
  Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the sheetmetal industry
  • 8 years of experience in sheetmetal HVAC ducting system installation
  • Thorough knowledge of sheetmetal blueprints, specifications, and codes
  • Thorough knowledge of other major craft blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of all sheetmetal systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to supervise multiple employees and manage projects
  • Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
