Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Manager to coordinate our retail installations. This role involves overseeing the entire process from quoting, ordering products, scheduling, directing installations, and acting as the main customer contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and services.
  • Assist in developing installation schedules and project timelines for retail installations.
  • Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Organize and coordinate the delivery and installation of fixtures, displays, and materials at retail locations.
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth delivery of materials and avoid delays in the installation process.
  • Coordinate and communicate travel plans and itineraries with installation teams and corporate travel agents.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and feedback to the customer and stakeholders.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise during installation and work to resolve them promptly.
  • Conduct site/installation visits to develop and maintain an understanding of our product and installation processes.
  • Assist in managing project budgets by tracking expenses, invoices, and labor costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business, operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in retail installations, construction, or interior design.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience preparing and managing project quotes and budgets.
  • Experience with vendor and contractor coordination is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g. Asana) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues on-site and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with travel planning and logistics for work teams.
