Pharmacy Technician I/II

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications, including intravenous admixtures and sterile products.
- Fill physician orders and prescriptions, and deliver medications to patient care areas.
- Enter charges and credits for patient medications, and maintain accurate records.
- Provide technical support for automated equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication management.
- High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program.
- Registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, and certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, and establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
