RCG Moody International Limited, a prominent provider of quality assurance and safety solutions for leading brands and companies, is seeking an Engineering Technician to enhance our Building Science Solutions team. Our Building and Construction division encompasses a range of industry-leading brands that excel across various architecture, engineering, and construction fields, delivering innovative product and project solutions. Our project-related assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services serve as essential partners in risk management and quality assurance, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of new developments and existing facilities. The Building Science Solutions (BSS) group focuses on consulting, commissioning, and field performance testing for both new construction and retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute industry-standard tests on building enclosure products and assemblies to assess their field performance, safety features, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct field quality assurance evaluations of building products and assembly installations to ensure adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Assist in forensic investigations and diagnostic testing of failures within building enclosure systems.
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate testing equipment, vehicles, and storage facilities.
  • Engage in both internal and external training opportunities, including classes and certification courses.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions for transporting, setting up, and dismantling equipment while assisting in conducting industry test methods.
  • Capability to work effectively in both small teams and independently.
  • Proficient computer and electronic media skills.
  • Strong eagerness to learn, work ethic, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and various hand tools used in construction.
  • Ability to understand and convey technical information effectively.
  • Visual acuity for reading fine print and observing changes in characteristics (e.g., color, texture, water leaks).
  • Physical dexterity for executing precise tasks with delicate materials and equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, crouching, bending, climbing, crawling, pushing, and pulling.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, with some overnight stays required. Transportation, accommodation, and meals will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A university degree is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in construction and/or installation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Industry certifications and qualifications are a plus.
