Position Overview:
As an Engineering Technician, your responsibilities will encompass conducting field performance assessments, inspections, and diagnostic evaluations related to building enclosures. This role may require travel based on business needs, including occasional overnight stays.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform industry-standard tests on building enclosure products and assemblies to assess their performance, safety features, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations of building products and assembly installations to ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry guidelines.
  • Assist in forensic investigations and diagnostic testing related to failures in building enclosure systems.
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate testing equipment and vehicles.
  • Engage in both internal and external training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions for transporting, setting up, and dismantling equipment.
  • Capability to work effectively in both team settings and independently.
  • Proficient in computer and electronic media skills.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in construction.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Visual acuity for detailed observations.
  • Physical dexterity for precise tasks.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.
  • Physical capability to perform various movements such as standing, crouching, and climbing.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, with transportation and accommodations provided.
  • Valid driver's license with a reliable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • University degree is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in construction or installation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
