Company Overview

Staff Management | SMX is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Quality Assurance Technician. This position is integral to our operations within a prominent electronics manufacturing environment.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $18.50/hour, increasing to $20/hour after a specified period, plus a potential sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of products to drive ongoing quality enhancements and cost efficiencies.
  • Oversee the inventory and calibration of all equipment utilized by the Quality Assurance team.
  • Perform environmental and reliability assessments in line with established quality standards.
  • Design and develop specialized testing fixtures as required by the department.
  • Assist in the inspection process for incoming products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of quality benchmarks and procedural guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and generate comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate degree in Electronics or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in testing and analysis within a laboratory setting.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of personnel.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Associate Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug testing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
