Job Overview

The Quality Control Inspector position is a full-time role within Sulzer USA Inc., focusing on ensuring the quality and compliance of manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dimensional and visual inspections of machined components, fabricated items, and completed assemblies according to established specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and procedures throughout the inspection process.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to prioritize inspection tasks effectively.
  • Perform oversight activities at supplier locations to verify compliance and quality of supplied equipment and processes.
  • Engage with third-party and customer inspectors as necessary.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and demonstrate flexibility in work habits and scheduling.
  • Support and actively participate in the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System, adhering to safety and environmental policies.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of Sulzer procedures.
  • Comply with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred ASNT Certification for NDE Level I or Level II in PT, MT, UT, and/or VT.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP software applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications, identify issues, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understanding of appropriate inspection methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, AWS, and other relevant codes is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational abilities and basic mathematical proficiency.
  • A high school diploma is required.
