Job Title: Power Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Technician to join our team at CyberCoders. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel and gaseous engines, AC/DC systems, transfer switches, switchgear, and other power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on generators, switchgear, and other power generation equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in engines and generators.
  • Conduct load bank testing to ensure generators are functioning properly.
  • Rebuild engines and replace faulty parts as needed.
  • Test batteries and replace as needed.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Communicate technical information effectively with customers and team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Provide technical training to team members and customers as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a technical training program in power systems or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in generator maintenance, diesel engine repair, and gaseous engine repair.
  • Experience with AC/DC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with load bank testing, engine rebuilds, battery testing, transfer switches, switchgear, and electronic governors.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use technical software.
  • Experience in technical communication, power generation, and power system fundamentals.
  • Experience with 645, 710, EMD Engines is preferred.
