Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Anchorage office. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and enthusiastic team member with over 5 years of engineering experience in vertical construction, alternative energy (including wind, solar, and battery storage), or electric utility sectors.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be involved in:

  • Energy modeling
  • Liquid and gaseous fuels (diesel, natural gas, LNG, hydrogen)
  • Electrical system modeling
  • Generator and breaker controls
  • Heat recovery and combined heat and power (CHP) systems
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Battery energy storage facilities
  • Microgrid development

You will collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects across electric utility, industrial, governmental, and private commercial sectors, working alongside engineers, operators, and various stakeholders.

Qualifications
This position requires:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design within the AEC industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications
Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Experience with the National Electrical Code
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and construction practices
  • Prior experience in a multi-discipline engineering or consulting firm
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Attention to detail and integrity in work
