About the Role:
As a Patient Access Representative at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate access to our healthcare services, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately collected and processed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input patient demographic and financial information into our system.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement.
- Perform financial assessments to identify potential program assistance opportunities.
- Communicate with patients and families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Assist with disaster preparedness and response efforts as needed.
- Support the flexible needs of the department to accommodate patient volume and workflow.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
