Patient Access Representative III

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative III to join our team at Conifer Health Solutions. As a key member of our Patient Access Operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration, and collaborating with department leaders to drive process excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Perform patient registration, pre-admission, and admission functions, including scanning protected health information and creating patient information packets.
- Financial Counseling and Collections: Provide patient financial counseling, education, and referrals, and employ compliant patient liability collection techniques to ensure timely payment.
- Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility, and obtain authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled hospital services.
- Analysis and Reporting: Perform thorough analysis of admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) data, and lead shift Patient Access Operations to drive process excellence.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area; 2+ years of experience in Patient Access preferred.
- Skills: Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm, demonstrated working knowledge of software and equipment, and advanced customer service skills.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent prolonged standing, sitting, and walking. You must be able to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods and occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
