About The Role

The Correspondence Clerk is a vital member of the Claims Department, responsible for providing administrative support to ensure seamless operations. This role involves a range of tasks, including scanning documents, logging information, signing for mail and packages, and sorting and delivering mail.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Mail Management: Sort incoming mail, sign for mail, packages, and deliveries, and ensure timely distribution.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare, scan, and log correspondence and appeals, as well as photocopy and scan documents as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform daily printing assignments, track and report certified mail, and prepare documents and packages for mailing.
  • Communication: Generate letters and mailings, and perform various other clerical duties as required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 25 pounds or less.
  • Team Player: Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, and adaptable to new or changing circumstances.
  • Previous Experience: Previous clerical experience preferred.
  • Location: Must live near Westbury, NY.
  • Work Environment: In-office position, non-remote.

Annual Salary Range: $40,000 - $46,000
