Hotel Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Lincoln Downtown. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register guests, collect necessary information, and assign rooms.
  • Reservation Management: Manage online and phone reservations, including verifying credit card data and informing customers about payment methods.
  • Front Desk Operations: Perform all check-in and check-out tasks, welcome guests, and provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.
  • Customer Service: Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner, and liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean and tidy.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Offer personalized services and facilities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
Requirements:
  • Work Experience: Previous experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with hotel reservations software, such as OPERA PMS, and understanding of travel planning websites.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a customer service attitude.
