Hotel Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Hotel Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional service to our guests and manage all aspects of their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
  • Manage online and phone reservations, ensuring seamless guest experiences
  • Provide clear information about payment methods and verify guest credit card details
  • Collect and record guest information, including contact details and stay dates
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Offer information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints and concerns
  • Collaborate with housekeeping staff to maintain clean, tidy, and well-furnished rooms
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP guests and event attendees
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings and payments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role
  • Proficiency in hotel reservations software, such as OPERA PMS
  • Understanding of travel planning websites, like Booking and TripAdvisor
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities
