Job Summary

Vanir is seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to lead our construction projects from procurement to final occupancy and close-out. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction, including procurement, pre-construction, construction, and close-out.
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and review project reports, including daily inspection reports, weekly statements of working days, and progress payment requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team to resolve design-related issues and ensure constructability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to ensure their professional development and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering, construction management, or architecture.
  • At least 15 years of experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
