Job Overview

The Procedure Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling of in-office procedures, adhering to departmental guidelines and standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare sector is essential, with prior call center experience being advantageous.
  • At least one year of experience in scheduling or insurance verification is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Spinal Cord procedures, Kyphoplasty, and Imaging is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently schedules in-office procedures in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Confirms and updates patient demographic details and insurance eligibility, ensuring all necessary information is accurate for successful claims processing.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with patients regarding authorizations, financial counseling, and scheduling updates.
  • Addresses patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues to uphold high levels of patient satisfaction.
  • Communicates necessary clinical instructions related to appointments and procedures.
  • Handles incoming calls and requests promptly and accurately, directing messages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensures the cancellation of appointments and related services is communicated effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Accurately updates patient records in the practice management system and electronic medical records (EMR), documenting all completed tasks.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all health records and member information, complying with HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
