Role Overview:

The Finance Systems Administrator will spearhead finance and accounting initiatives that align with organizational goals. This position involves the development and oversight of comprehensive project plans, including milestone tracking, scope evaluation, and risk management. Candidates should possess full-cycle systems implementation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead finance and accounting projects to ensure alignment with corporate strategies, managing the overall project plan, including milestones and risk assessments.
  • Engage in understanding business needs, configuring the Workday solution, and demonstrating configurations through the creation of testing environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to gather configuration requirements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Enhance internal knowledge of Workday payroll configuration through practical training sessions for cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Payroll client groups to ensure effective coordination and delivery of Workday implementations.
  • Support the internal team in maintaining data accuracy and facilitating seamless enhancements of new system features, including US Payroll and Time Tracking.
  • Develop reports to support payroll, labor, finance, and billing functions.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities by proposing multiple solutions for business requirements related to Payroll and Time Tracking.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to achieve diverse tasks and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing production support and manage system enhancements and upgrades, including defining test strategies and project timelines.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing and implementation of system upgrades and patches.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify improvement opportunities and provide technical and functional support for finance and accounting users.
  • Establish and promote best practices for system usage throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Systems Management, Analysis, or Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency with UltiPro Financial Management and UltiPro Payroll.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and government contract accounting principles.
  • Exceptional Project Management skills; PMP certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of finance/accounting experience, including payroll, data analytics, and systems analysis. Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience working with government contractors and knowledge of applicable federal laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and financial systems such as Deltek (Costpoint), IBM Cognos, and TM1.
