Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a proficient Lead Pricing Strategist to enhance our team.

Your Role Includes:

  • Overseeing the prompt creation of proposal pricing and cost volume deliverables in alignment with technical, management, and cost specifications of ongoing proposals.
  • Generating cost reports and presenting insights to management, contract personnel, proposal analysts, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitating pricing evaluations and offering pricing guidance to proposal and capture teams to ensure adherence to pricing strategies as per disclosure statements.
  • Developing cost/price models for estimating cost elements.
  • Interpreting various RFP sections to effectively collaborate with others and prepare cost/price volumes.
  • Assessing material, labor, and overhead costs associated with contractual efforts.
  • Thriving in a dynamic proposal environment, coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to deliver precise, timely pricing data and exhibits in compliance with customer Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  • Conducting and supporting pricing reviews, proposal discussions, and other evaluations as necessary.
  • Gathering cost data from program operations representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Calculating cost estimates for raw materials or subcontracted work and labor in close collaboration with Basis of Estimate (BOE) subject matter experts or project managers to ensure compliant BOEs.
  • Managing and coordinating material estimates with the internal procurement team.
  • Creating and presenting financial data for cost proposals for management review.
  • Exhibiting effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preparing and maintaining historical cost data.
  • Establishing and maintaining audit files.
  • Collaborating with Finance to generate summary and P&L sheets as required for executive leadership presentations.
  • Assisting with audit requests, fact-finding, and negotiation discussions as necessary.
  • Staying informed on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, IDIQ, and Time and Materials (T&M), while being familiar with a diverse range of customers, including federal and DoD.
  • Working effectively with various departments and leadership teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience, MS with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience or an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Preferred degrees include Business, Administration, or Finance.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to project future revenue and generate budgets.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/modeling, including the use of formulas and pivot tables.
  • Capability to comprehend processes and learn new systems and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues.
  • Experience in collaborative team environments while managing multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Experience in pricing for Federal government procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced proposal deadlines.
