Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of products utilizing various measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology instruments.
  • Evaluate incoming raw materials for quality assurance.
  • Perform consistent quality evaluations on all incoming materials from suppliers and outgoing products prior to dispatch.
  • Reject any products and materials that do not meet established quality standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ascertain product and service requirements.
  • Measure product dimensions, assess functionality, and compare final products against specifications.
  • Propose enhancements to the production process to uphold quality control.
  • Document inspection results through detailed reports and performance records.
  • Identify and address quality-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
Experience:
  • 0-3 years of experience in inspecting metal components.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with precision inspection tools and calibration processes.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials.
  • Availability for daytime shifts, specifically 1st Shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Work Environment:
  • This position primarily operates indoors within office and manufacturing settings.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals may occur.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.
  • Regular requirements include sitting, talking, and listening.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching is necessary.
  • Occasional standing and walking, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
Compliance Notice:

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour, reflecting the expected pay range at the time of posting, influenced by factors such as geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and organizational needs.
