About the Role

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a skilled Aerospace Quality Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our precision bearings and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Products: Use gauges and basic hand tools to inspect products and test incoming raw materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Perform Quality Assessments: Regularly assess the quality of incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping to ensure they meet our quality expectations.
  • Document Inspection Outcomes: Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records to track quality control metrics.
  • Recommend Process Improvements: Identify areas for improvement in our production process and recommend changes to ensure quality control.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution of quality control processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience performing inspection on metal parts.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office, good math and technical skills, strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques, strong written and oral communication skills, practical experience in precision inspection equipment and calibration, knowledge in aerospace materials.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas.
  • Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud.
