Position Summary:

The Shed Maintenance Specialist operates primarily in Valdosta, GA, and is tasked with the essential duties of maintaining and repairing storage structures produced by Leonard. This role reports directly to the Repairs & Maintenance Manager and does not oversee any direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various locations to conduct repairs on portable storage units as assigned.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on storage structures, including the replacement of damaged parts, leak repairs, and structural fixes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of storage units to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to storage structures.
  • Identify the root causes of structural issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Engage with customers to understand their repair needs, provide updates on progress, and ensure satisfaction with the repair services.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of various power tools and machinery.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or technical degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in shed construction, repair, or a related field.

Travel Requirements:

This position necessitates approximately 100% travel within the designated area.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Capability to work in confined and awkward positions.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Good vision, including depth perception.
  • Ability to drive and travel to various locations.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively.
  • Capability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
