Responsibilities:
Night Shift: 6:45pm - 7am on a 2-2-3 schedule with alternating weekends off

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, maintain, and repair production machinery, auxiliary equipment, and packaging automation while also addressing building maintenance needs.
Set up power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machinery and plant systems, including molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
Conduct repairs and perform operational tests on equipment.
Procure parts and equipment for various projects.
Utilize cutting torches or welding equipment for metal work.
Install, program, or repair electrical devices and replace components as necessary.
Carry out preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Maintain the physical integrity of the facility.
Log and monitor work orders in the PEM system.
Ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
Identify and report safety concerns through observations and near misses.
Commit to zero waste and litter, actively participating in recycling initiatives.
Engage in safety and quality programs.
Employees are informed and accountable for food safety and regulatory duties; they are encouraged to report any actual or potential food safety issues to management and empowered to act within their scope of work.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience in a manufacturing setting with automated equipment maintenance is preferred.
Proficiency in maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is essential.
Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Capability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Effective communication skills for presenting information in both individual and group settings.

Basic mathematical skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Physical stamina for standing, bending, stooping, and twisting.
Capability to safely operate a forklift in various environments.

Hearing ability to recognize alarms and warnings.

Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders safely.
Able to use tools and parts necessary for the job effectively.
Willingness to work in various positions frequently.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in alignment with company safety and quality standards.
Competence in reading and understanding equipment manuals for independent work.
