Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness of office spaces and communal areas. This role involves regular interaction with residents and property staff, necessitating a consistently positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents, as well as staff, enhancing the overall living experience.
  • Liaise with the General Manager regarding the condition of units.
  • Assess daily supply inventory to fulfill daily tasks.
  • Maintain and clean individual units and common areas, including restrooms; perform deep cleaning of office spaces weekly.
  • Prepare vacant apartments following resident move-outs and transfers.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Availability for night and weekend calls
  • Experience in housekeeping/custodial services and customer relations
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)

Work Schedule:
Typical hours are 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of extended hours and/or weekends as required to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role are representative of those required to successfully perform essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

The work is generally light in physical demand, requiring frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and grasping. Candidates must be able to occasionally bend, crouch, or stoop, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and push and pull up to 50 lbs. with mechanical assistance. Close and distance vision, along with the ability to adjust focus, is necessary.

While performing job functions, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and occasionally to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, electrical shock risks, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
