Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee the work of the tax department in preparing and reviewing tax returns.
* Conduct detailed tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies.
* Provide tax advisory services to clients, advising on tax implications of business decisions and potential tax issues.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and keep abreast of any changes in tax legislation.
* Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision making.
* Develop and implement effective tax management strategies.
* Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
* Train and mentor junior staff in tax procedures and practices.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax management, tax compliance, and tax advisory roles.
* Proven knowledge and expertise in Tax Preparation, Tax Advisory, and Tax Research.
* Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and manage the complexities of various tax operations.
* Proficient in tax software and databases.
* Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
* High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
