Job Summary

As a Sales Executive at Marriott International Inc, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving top-line goals for our represented hotels. Your primary focus will be on proactively soliciting business from various segments, including new business from small business accounts, sourcing new accounts, identifying new targets, and re-soliciting past business leads. You will work closely with our Leadership team to ensure competitive sales strategies are in place and aligned with market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and relationship-building
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with our Leadership team to ensure alignment with market trends and competitive sales strategies
  • Provide property support by coordinating and executing internal mining efforts at assigned hotels
  • Manage daily Status Change reports to help close on hotel business
  • Work with Local Sales, U.S. Account Sales/GSO teams to drive production from targeted high-priority accounts
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
  • Preferred: 4-year college degree; previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales discipline; knowledge of property-specific business segments (e.g., group, catering, transient); knowledge of the hospitality industry
What We Offer

Marriott International Inc offers a competitive salary range of $58,000 to $73,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
