Reporting Structure: Reports to the Receiving Supervisor

Shift: Day Shift starting at 7:00 AM

Compensation: $24.80 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time

The primary responsibility of the Receiving Specialist is to accurately count, measure, and weigh incoming shipments to ensure they match the details provided in shipping documents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Unloading delivery trucks while recording case counts, weights, quality, and temperatures.
  • Documenting and receiving inbound shipments.
  • Verifying shipments for both quantity and quality.
  • Organizing inventory across multiple storage locations.
  • Identifying and reporting damaged or expired products.
  • Coordinating product pickups and returns.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation in accordance with sanitation standards.
  • Adhering to Safety Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 protocols (training provided).
  • Conducting quality control checks following Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines (training provided).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required to meet operational demands.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by Supervisors and Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Forklift operation experience; certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. (Math Skills Test required).
  • Physical endurance and strength are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating a 14–20-foot box truck.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Work Environment:

The characteristics of the work environment are representative of those encountered while performing essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Employees may frequently be exposed to wet conditions and cold environments. The noise level is typically moderate.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 75 pounds occasionally, and up to 100 pounds rarely. They should also be capable of pushing and pulling weights up to 100 pounds as needed.

While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling, reach with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively.
