Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Packaging Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of materials to ensure optimal productivity for the packing team. This position is essential for enhancing operational efficiency within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. The Packaging Support Specialist is tasked with delivering essential packaging supplies to the packing personnel and to designated picking areas. This includes items such as cartons, poly mailers, adhesive tape, inserts, labels, and more.

2. The role involves clearing waste materials and cardboard from the production area and individual packing stations to maintain a clean work environment.

3. The Packaging Support Specialist identifies packers who are nearing completion of their tasks and ensures they receive additional batches for packing.

4. This position assists with pre-packing requirements, including bottle wrapping, pre-labeling, and assembling boxes.

5. Responsibilities also include managing supply orders for the packaging line, disposing of waste and empty pallets, and ensuring the organization and safety of the packaging area.

6. The Packaging Support Specialist contributes to the morning setup, ensuring all necessary materials are available for the packing team at the start of their shifts.

7. Provides assistance to the production floor as needed, particularly with order inquiries.

8. Performs additional tasks as directed by the Production Area Operations Manager.

Compensation: $18.79/hr + $1.90/hr differential

Work Schedule: Saturday to Monday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements:

1. 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

2. Basic proficiency in computer usage (e.g., personal computers, printers, email).

3. Understanding of warehouse operational procedures and standards.

4. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

5. Experience in a distribution, warehouse, or inventory management setting.

6. Familiarity with inventory control systems and related software.

7. Ability to accurately follow both written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent experience.
