CULINARY OPERATIONS MANAGER

Easy Tiger, a cherished name in the culinary scene, is on the lookout for a dedicated leader to oversee our kitchen operations at the South Lamar venue.

The Culinary Operations Manager (COM) is tasked with proficiently directing all facets of daily kitchen activities, which encompass staff management, recipe execution and precision from both the preparation and line teams, adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, labor and food cost management, all while contributing to the restaurant's overall profitability and health by upholding Easy Tiger's esteemed standards of quality and service.


REPORTS TO: General Manager
SALARY / GRADE LEVEL: Salary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees kitchen operations, including daily decision-making, adaptability, staff support, guest engagement, scheduling, cost management, inventory oversight, community participation, and compliance with all safety and security standards related to food handling, profitability expectations, and effective planning while maintaining product quality and cleanliness.
  • Manages all aspects of menu updates and changes, including staff training, development of training materials, procurement, product inventory, staff tastings, and the revision of all operational materials.
  • Facilitates ongoing staff development, including cross-training and advancement opportunities as performance merits.
  • Prepares and distributes the kitchen schedule promptly.
  • Maintains a visible presence with kitchen personnel during operations, avoiding office confinement.
  • Conducts necessary staff meetings, daily shift briefings, and keeps the team informed about new developments and upcoming events.
  • Ensures all team members comply with the company’s uniform standards.
  • Creates a safe working environment for both staff and guests to minimize the risk of incidents, injuries, and food handling issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience as a high-volume Culinary Operations Manager with comprehensive knowledge of kitchen and food service operations.
  • Possession of a current Texas Food Manager and TABC Certification.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and serves as a positive role model.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of food quality and safety practices.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and adept at multitasking.
  • Accountable for maintaining high performance standards for oneself and others.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft & Google Suite) and office proficiency required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
