We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Banquet Chef to join our team at White Lodging. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary aspects of banquet and catering functions, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute day-to-day banquet culinary operations, providing direction and guidance to associates as needed.
- Develop and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events, ensuring consistency with hotel recipes and standards.
- Monitor and maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation, adhering to all safety and sanitation policies.
- Contribute to maximizing departmental profit through effective cost control and inventory management.
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance, providing coaching, counseling, and training as needed.
- Participate in the development of kitchen business strategies, working closely with the Executive Chef and other department heads.
- Supervise daily setup for menu, anticipating business volume and adjusting work areas and schedules accordingly.
- Manage time effectively and efficiently, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations and interdepartmental working relationships.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
- College degree or equivalent degree from a recognized culinary institute preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of loads up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods, with constant walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to talk, hear, and taste.
