Position Overview

As a key member of the culinary team, reporting directly to the Chef de Cuisine, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities
  • Embrace and exemplify our 'Culinary Culture' with dedication.
  • In your role as Line Cook Supervisor, you will lead and oversee the kitchen team, ensuring effective delegation, prioritization, and assignment of tasks to maintain high productivity levels.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to supervise kitchen staff, ensuring optimal production levels and seamless service execution.
  • Foster a positive and proactive environment among colleagues to enhance motivation and teamwork.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and promotions relevant to your kitchen operations.
  • Guarantee that all food is prepared according to the Chef de Cuisine and/or Sous Chef's specified recipes and standards, including conducting quality checks and tastings prior to service.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff are informed of expectations and standards.
  • Communicate and enforce EHC and ServeSafe standards to align production practices with our quality expectations, ensuring accurate completion of EHC temperature logs.
  • Manage proper product rotation in all refrigeration units to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Report any tardiness or unsafe practices to the Chef on duty immediately.
  • Take responsibility for your station, ensuring colleagues are well-prepared for success during your absence.
  • Actively contribute ideas and suggestions during daily briefings.
  • Engage with Chefs daily to maintain open communication regarding guest feedback.
  • Continuously seek improvements in food preparation and presentation.
  • Commit to sustainability by adhering to recycling, composting, and waste management procedures in the kitchen.
  • Follow established kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This position entails:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
