KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the recruitment and development strategies for staff and Independent Contractors/Drivers.
  • Assess the performance of staff and Independent Contractors, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Establish and nurture effective communication and relationships with clients, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining consistency in implementation.
  • Coordinate negotiations with Vendors, Contractors, and Service Providers to secure optimal value and service standards.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, instilling a culture of safety.
  • Review KPIs regularly and identify strategies for process improvements.
  • Conduct team meetings and training sessions aimed at enhancing staff performance.
  • Assist in developing annual plans for equipment, vehicle, and staffing needs for budgeting purposes.
  • Engage actively in P&L performance, ensuring alignment with budgetary objectives.
  • Develop, recommend, and oversee the annual operational budget, participating actively in the budgeting process.
  • Drive initiatives that contribute to sustained excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal, and state regulations regarding personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Coordinate and resolve operational performance issues.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate driver compensation, upholding ethical practices.
  • Monitor Quality Control Scores, addressing them with Independent Contractors/Drivers and relevant team members.
  • Verify that Independent Contractors/Drivers possess all necessary qualifications and documentation before commencing work.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
  • Prior experience managing a team is essential.
  • Experience working with Independent Contractors is required.
  • Strong financial performance management knowledge is necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • A four-year degree in Business, Supply Chain Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A valid and clean driver's license is mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Operates with a customer-centric approach. Demonstrates effective time management and consistently meets deadlines. Capable of working collaboratively in a team setting while exhibiting flexibility and patience. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with a strong sense of motivation. Proven leadership and team management capabilities. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to understand and convey instructions accurately. Capable of operating standard office equipment and performing data entry tasks.

Physical Activity Level:

Working Conditions:

Work occurs in both outdoor and indoor environments with adequate ventilation. Exposure to vibrations, poorly illuminated or confined spaces, and the potential for falls exists. Frequent lifting and carrying of items may be required, along with exposure to loud noises.
