About the Role

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the facilities by foot and vehicle as required to detect and prevent potential security threats.
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Defuse disturbances and escort individuals from the property as necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct initial investigation reports and gather evidence as directed by security leadership to ensure thorough and accurate incident documentation.
  • Walk through and around the exterior of the facilities conducting safety hazard and security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Complete incident reports related to security in collaboration with security leadership to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
  • 1 year of security or loss prevention experience, with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present clear and concise information to security leadership and other stakeholders.
  • The self-motivation to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve common security goals.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, and tolerate weather elements, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
