Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Geotechnical Engineer in Training. This role will primarily involve working under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to conduct geotechnical assessments and design for various infrastructure projects. The projects may include, but are not limited to, roadways, railways, retaining structures, bridges, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure initiatives.
  • Review and interpret boring logs, laboratory results, and design specifications.
  • Engage in tasks related to slope stability, settlement analysis, and construction recommendations.
  • Assist in the design of shallow and deep foundations, including driven piles and drilled shafts.
  • Perform project-specific evaluations of liquefaction potential, seismic considerations, and ground improvement techniques.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and foundation reports for geotechnical projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project execution and adherence to objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering software such as GeoStudio, Ensoft, GRLWEAP, and gINT.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project work.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and CADD software.
