Position Overview:

As a Geotechnical Engineer in Training, you will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Your primary responsibilities will include conducting geotechnical evaluations and designing solutions for various infrastructure projects. These projects may encompass roadways, railways, retaining structures, bridges, buildings, dams, levees, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze boring logs, laboratory results, and design documents for diverse geotechnical assignments, including slope stability and settlement assessments.
  • Engage in the design of shallow and deep foundations, such as driven piles and drilled shafts, while also evaluating liquefaction potential and seismic impacts.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and foundation reports for geotechnical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure all project objectives are met effectively.
  • Travel may be necessary to support project work as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering software (e.g., GeoStudio, Ensoft, GRLWEAP, gINT).
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and CADD software.
