Job Overview

Position Summary: The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing the overall functionality of the facility, ensuring optimal safety, quality, delivery, cost-effectiveness, and inventory oversight. This position involves the implementation of strategies aimed at boosting productivity while ensuring that products adhere to the highest quality standards and are delivered punctually and within budget constraints.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee that all operations within the facility are performed with the highest regard for safety, striving for zero incidents through diligent tracking, performance evaluations, and thorough investigations of root causes.
  • Supervise production workflows to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks, effectively reducing waste and preventing product specification errors.
  • Direct the shipping and delivery teams to enhance logistics and inventory management, ensuring that products are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as SQDCI boards and process audits to boost efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Work closely with order processing and scheduling teams to streamline production flow and adherence to schedules.
  • Recruit, train, and manage personnel to achieve operational objectives.
  • Evaluate performance metrics against established targets, employing trend analysis and Pareto charts to pinpoint areas for enhancement and enact corrective measures.
  • Encourage a collaborative and effective work atmosphere to improve employee morale and productivity.
  • Maintain open lines of communication across all organizational levels and engage directly with clients to address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and warehouse environments with a strong history of effective problem-solving.
  • High emotional intelligence complemented by outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in delegation and team leadership.
  • Experience in a multicultural work setting.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A robust background in continuous improvement practices is advantageous.

  • Work conditions may involve exposure to elevated temperatures, humidity, and machinery, presenting associated safety challenges.
  • Regular interactions with senior leadership and direct engagement with clients.
