The Production Oversight Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of all manufacturing processes and the upkeep of production machinery. This role emphasizes safety, product quality, staff management, and efficient use of labor resources, including temporary personnel. The primary objective is to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our clients promptly and cost-effectively, without compromising on standards or efficiency. Below are the outlined responsibilities associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure a safe, well-organized, and motivating work environment.

Aim for operational excellence by producing quality products right the first time, while minimizing waste from errors and incorrect specifications.

Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to clients.

Plan production schedules to optimize output.

Encourage teamwork and foster a strong work ethic among staff.

Involve employees in ongoing improvement initiatives.

Train new employees on safe and efficient equipment operation.

Recognize and nurture high-performing employees for internal promotions.

Identify inefficiencies in production processes and make real-time adjustments to enhance productivity.

Coordinate with order entry and shipping departments to ensure adherence to schedules.

Detect and rectify order entry discrepancies related to production, verifying with relevant personnel to ensure accuracy.

Provide accurate updates to senior management as required.

Work with the procurement team to gather necessary product information.

Conduct regular safety meetings with production staff.

Identify operational needs and promptly report them to the operations manager.

Engage in planning processes as required by upper management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

Execute all responsibilities in a timely and effective manner, adhering to established company policies to achieve the overall goals of this role.

Maintain positive working relationships with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious workplace, enhancing morale, productivity, and overall effectiveness.

Carry out all necessary supervisory functions to manage assigned personnel effectively.

Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in manufacturing and warehouse operations with adept problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience for training purposes.
  • High level of intelligence with excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with both upper management and team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications.

Working Conditions

  • Extended hours may be required to meet job demands.
  • Work environment includes manufacturing and warehouse settings with high temperatures and humidity.
  • Involves working around machinery with associated safety considerations.
  • Interaction with all organizational levels is expected, including senior management and their direct reports.
  • May require communication with clients to resolve issues.

Physical Requirements

  • Job entails walking for extended periods within a manufacturing and warehouse facility.
