As a key member of our Utilities Operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing leadership and guidance to our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation of wastewater treatment facilities, including process controls, electrical controls, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to wastewater treatment and reclaimed water facilities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including training and development opportunities.
  • Plan and oversee projects to enhance and maintain the operations of the plant, including equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to supervisors, including monthly reports on plant operations and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school/GED and five (5) years' experience as a treatment plant operator required.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and supervise subordinate personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Extensive knowledge in process controls, electrical controls, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Must have knowledge of building and maintaining databases in Access and Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge in the treatment of wastewater and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local entities pertaining to wastewater systems.
  • Skilled in the application of wastewater treatment methods and techniques.
  • Must possess an "A" license in wastewater treatment issued by the State of Florida.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver License, Class "E".
