Key Responsibilities- Icing and Decorating Cakes: Responsible for icing cakes, specialty orders, and cakes for the house, as well as decorating cupcakes.
- Training and Development: Train all new cake icers and retrain existing cake icers on new or seasonal products.
- Quality Control: Ensure quality control of product before putting it out for sale.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep work area neat, equipment cleaned, and prepared for use.
- Safety and Sanitation: Demonstrate, enforce, or train on safe food handling practices and follow safety procedures for using equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Experience: 6-12 months experience with cake decorating.
- Skills: Knowledge and use of cake decorating equipment, tools, icings, ingredients, etc.
- Personal Qualities: Hands-on, flexible, highly responsive, strong communication skills, reading and writing skills, ability to handle high stress and volume, high energy, positive attitude, and ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Employee Restaurant Discount: One free dessert per day.
