Job Description

Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Insurance Risk Manager to join our team at our Green Bay, Wisconsin location.

As a Corporate Insurance Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting the assets of our Corporation by evaluating risks and exposures, and taking appropriate action to transfer risks to third parties or through the placement and management of insurance coverages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess the risk profile of the Corporation and identify appropriate insurance programs to manage and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee and manage insurance programs, including General Liability, Property, EPLI, Terrorism, D O, Workers Compensation, Builder's Risk, Cyber Security, Crime, and Business Interruption.
  • Investigate and manage in-house claims and insurance carrier claims, including providing supporting claims documentation, coordinating defense strategies, and negotiating settlements.
  • Review and analyze insurance sections of contracts between the Corporation and service providers, and respond to in-house inquiries to evaluate potential risks and exposures.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to premiums, claims, and costs associated with managing and defending claims.
  • Assist in the compilation and review of underwriting data used to market renewal, and manage competitive bidding processes for insurance renewals.
  • Oversee the compilation, review, and evaluation of Certificates of Insurance, and provide guidance to the Purchasing Department to ensure proper COIs are obtained.
  • Frequent contact with insurance brokers to evaluate coverages and address specific business insurance-related matters.
  • Assist the site Safety Department in managing Worker's Compensation claims, and proactively work with business units to recognize, address, and mitigate business risk.
  • Identify risks and present potential opportunities throughout the organization, and maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or risk management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance and/or risk management, with a preference for experience in the health and safety area.
  • Finance/accounting experience is also preferred.
