Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Services Manager to join our team at the Great Lakes Water Authority. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our field operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Manage and administer the operations of our field teams, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team of field staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for our field operations, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and approved in accordance with our financial policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all field operations are carried out in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies, identifying and mitigating any risks that may impact our operations.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including elected officials, to ensure that our field operations are aligned with our corporate goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Five years of recent management and operational experience, gained through progressively more responsible positions.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of field staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to field locations. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
