Position Summary: We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in specialty pharmacy management services. This role is crucial for enhancing patient care and ensuring optimal medication management. The ideal candidate will be a registered pharmacy technician with a strong focus on building relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients by providing comprehensive medication management services.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to support patient needs both in-person and via phone.
  • Educate patients on the benefits of utilizing pharmacy services for improved health outcomes.
  • Assist with outpatient retail and specialty prescription requirements.
  • Facilitate patient adherence to medication regimens through follow-up communications and refill management.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Patient Service Center regarding patient care updates and reports.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Identify and manage medications requiring special handling or storage.
  • Address and resolve patient inquiries and insurance-related issues.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and data management in relevant systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: State registration as a pharmacy technician is required; national certification as a CPhT is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Pharmacy Technician; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Skills and Traits: The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential. A commitment to patient care and a collaborative spirit are vital for success in this role.
