Role Summary: We are in search of a driven and proactive individual to join our dynamic team in the specialty pharmacy management sector. This position is ideal for experienced pharmacy technicians who are registered in their state of employment. While national certification as a CPhT is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously while establishing robust and trustworthy relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care to hospital patients through comprehensive medication management services.
  • Collaborate closely with clinic teams, including doctors and nurses, to provide face-to-face and telephonic support to patients.
  • Educate potential pharmacy patients on the services offered and how they enhance overall patient care.
  • Support both outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication requirements.
  • Expand the patient base for specialty pharmacies.
  • Ensure patients adhere to their medication regimens through proactive follow-ups and securing prescription refills.
  • Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center regarding various reports and patient needs.
  • Assist in developing new processes to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
  • Identify medications that require special handling or storage.
  • Manage supplies necessary for specific medications.
  • Address and triage incoming inquiries promptly.
  • Conduct refill reminder calls under pharmacist supervision.
  • Resolve insurance-related issues, including prior authorizations, and assist patients with financial assistance options.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in all required systems.
  • Organize and update relevant data using database applications.
  • Apply insights to improve operational issues, productivity, and customer service standards.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives actively.
  • Serve as a valuable partner to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Uphold confidentiality and protect the organization's integrity.
  • Engage in continuous learning through educational opportunities and professional networking.
  • Exhibit a willingness to contribute to the company's overall success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification: Candidates must be state-registered pharmacy technicians. National certification as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required, with 3-5 years preferred.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
