Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with the process of submitting and collecting prescriptions, ensuring precision at every step.
- Input prescriptions into the database, manage insurance claims, and prepare medications for dispensing.
- Confirm patient insurance details and collaborate with benefit managers to resolve any prescription rejections.
- Facilitate prescription transfers between pharmacies (for certified pharmacy technicians).
- Oversee inventory management and update patient profiles accordingly.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and occasional weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in compliance with Massachusetts regulations is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Must possess the latest COVID-19 booster and an annual flu vaccination.
Desirable Attributes:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Bilingual capabilities in English/Spanish, English/Portuguese, or English/Other languages are advantageous.
