Tandym Group is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented professional to join their team as the Vice President of Internal Audit. In this pivotal role, the Vice President will collaborate with the Internal Audit Division (IAD) Management team to strategize, develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive internal audit framework that effectively manages financial risks across the Americas Division.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Internal Audit will:

  • Lead a team of auditors to conduct thorough evaluations of processes and controls within established timelines.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to the audit team.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior audit management to clearly convey audit strategies, findings, and necessary corrective actions.
  • Oversee the quarterly and annual continuous monitoring and risk assessment processes to identify business trends and emerging risks, and propose updates to the audit plan as needed.
  • Assist in the execution and delivery of IAD's comprehensive audit plan and assurance responsibilities.
  • Monitor and validate the resolution of issues identified by the department and regulatory bodies.
  • Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with business leaders, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management or auditing within the banking and finance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational and middle office processes related to banking and capital markets products.
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control standards.
  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate emerging risks.
  • Capability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, exercising discretion and sound judgment in problem identification, analysis, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
