About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President of Risk Governance to join our team at the Hispanic Technology Executive Council. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of effective risk governance practices across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Maintain Effective Controls: Develop and implement robust controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our risk models.
  • Perform Quarterly Control Results Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of our risk models to ensure they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop Process Improvements: Collaborate with our modeling teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance our risk governance practices.
  • Collaborate on Policy Changes: Work closely with our internal and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that our risk governance practices are aligned with changing regulatory requirements.
  • Issue Management and Remediation: Identify and address any issues or concerns related to our risk models and work with our modeling teams to remediate any outstanding issues.
  • Liaison with Modeling Teams and Validators: Serve as the primary point of contact between our modeling teams and validators during internal and external audits and exams.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Experience: You must have at least 10 years of experience in a control discipline, such as risk management, reporting, financial control, compliance, audit, or operations.
  • Strong Knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk Modeling: You must have a deep understanding of counterparty credit risk modeling and be able to apply this knowledge to our risk governance practices.
  • Prior Experience with Independent Risk Assessment: You must have prior experience with independent risk assessment, model governance, and issue management.
  • Prior Experience with Internal and External Audits: You must have prior experience with internal and external audits and exams.
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills: You must be able to communicate effectively with our stakeholders and manage relationships with our modeling teams and validators.
