Required Qualifications

+ A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering accompanied by 8 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of technical principles related to substation equipment rating, application, specification, engineering, operation, and maintenance. Alternatively, a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

+ A Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or a Master's degree is highly desirable.

Essential Work Experience

+ Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

+ Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with personnel at all organizational levels are required.

+ A solid understanding of fundamental engineering design and principles is necessary.

+ Familiarity with relevant codes and industry standards associated with the equipment is required.

+ Capability to draft specifications and standards, as well as coordinate engineering projects and assignments, is preferred.

+ Candidates with a focus on electrical or power systems will be given preference.

Licenses and Certifications

+ A valid Driver's License is required.

+ Other: A P.E. License is preferred.

Additional Physical Requirements

+ Must be prepared to respond to company emergencies by executing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to customers.

+ Ability to work in and around substations that are either under construction or in operation is necessary.

+ The role involves working with electrical equipment, both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions, and requires ladder climbing.

+ A driver's license is essential for travel within the service territory and beyond as required.

+ Availability for additional hours may be necessary for system emergencies or scheduled equipment outages.
